I downloaded the 10 day trial. Unfortunately it was right before the holidays and I got busy and the trial is over and did not have time to play around with it except for a few minutes. It seemed like it was a CPU hog. If I remember correctly, I was at around 60 to 70 percent system resources in Mixcraft 7 Pro on a small project with just a few tracks.
I was checking it out because I saw this video and wanted to check out the masking feature.

I love Izotope products, I use Alloy 2 and Ozone 5 all the time.

Hi,

Here's a video that GMAC Productions did: Using Izotope Neutron in Mixcraft 7.

I just tested the trial version on a drum and bass track it only increased me CPU usage by 3-4% so I was at a max usage of 8%

Still in the baby stage but like what I am hearing. My PC is fairly robust so I'm not having any issues with it.

I use Neutron on almost every track, seems to need low resources. Works beautifully in Mixcraft assuming you have a decent computer.

Just wanted to let you guys know they came out with an update for Neutron(Version 1.01). Apparently some other people were having some performance issues too.

https://www.izotope.com/en/support/prod ... notes.html

"CPU Optimizations

Up to 20% performance improvement when Masking Meter is enabled and Neutron’s user interface is closed
Up to 11% performance improvement when using Neutron’s EQ user interface. "

Now that you had a while to play around with it, is it a keeper?
