Distortion?????

Post by mbaker2224 »

Hey guys,
I've only been using Mixcraft for about a week, and I'm having trouble with the settings on the distortion. If the distortion does sound like I want it too, then the volume is too loud in comparison with the other tracks. If I turn the volume of the track down, the distortion is barely noticeable. Any ideas? Also, does anyone know of any good distortion and or amp sim vst's? (hopefully free ones...)

Thanks..

The dirstortion effect should have it's own volume and each track in mixcraft has it's mix volume.

You should be able to get the distortion right in the effect itself first and then adjust the track volume to match the other tracks.

Man, just invest in a decent guitar processor unit.

Then record everything you do with Mixcraft, then you'll get great results.

Listened to your stuff and they all all great ideas, you just need the right tool box as a far as guitar sounds are concerned!
