Great stuff, bought mine today!
Toontrack drums sound brilliant on 8, better than MX7pro for some reason. One question on melodine, do you have to upgrade it?

I am from the uk and we have a place called ET. Cetera which disributes the boxed version.
Or can I download and send for a manual??

Hi,

Mixcraft 8 Pro Studio will not have a printed manual in the box, but as Tranceprod Dan points out, there's the Mixcraft 8 PDF manual on Mixcraft's support page. It will also be on your computer inside Mixcraft 8's program files folder.

I have just upgraded from MC7 Pro to MC8 Pro, is it better to uninstall MC7 then install MC8 or does it just update MC7 to MC8? Advice gladly received.

I uninstalled Mixcraft Pro 7 and Installed 8 -----------------------100%
It still finds all of your plugins.

Its not necessary, you can have both installed at the same time if you like.

This is great! I do have a question, the Royalty Free MVP Loops that you could down load for MC pro 7 studio, will they be available to MC8 Pro?

Thank much, I did have the installer, however I can only assume that it was only designed for MC 7, It will not install on 8

Ah, alright- (Note I haven't actually attempted to install those, not of interest to me.) But-
The MX8 library and its features have changed enough it may just be a difference in method maybe. Maybe the installer needs some tweaking, since it was designed to assist in MX7? don't know.
Perhaps someone who has done it will add info here. But in the meantime, what happens when you try?

All it does is open, say it is installed (for 7)but then of course it is not. I was hoping it was placed in a different file and maybe I could change locations, but of course all of the sample/loops are integrated into MC 7 presets, so I cannot get them one by one---it is not a zip file but an auto installer.
I have numerous songs that have those samples in them... --I will keep trying.

They'll get this sorted, be patient- new version, stuff happens.
