Mixcraft 8 Pro crashes on exit Windows 10.

Unfortunately Windows doesn't spit out a code. I didn't have this issue with the betas.
I haven't made anything yet. The demo plays fine. The only issue seems closing the program.
This happens on two machines.

Hi,

Are you using any third-party plugins?

I also found this. Not every time though.

Same problem here. Just starting Mixcraft 8 and closing it without doing anything else crashes.

Okay everybody,

The next time this happens, quit Mixcraft and send us your mixcraft-log.txt file.

To find your log file, highlight the following line and press Ctrl+C to copy it:

%appdata%\Acoustica\Mixcraft\

Press the Windows Key+R to pop up the Run box in Windows. Click in the Run box and press Ctrl+V to paste in the line from above. Finally, click OK to go to the location of the mixcraft-log.txt file.

Please submit an Acoustica Support Request and attach the log file.

Greg

My problem has something to do with melodyne VST3. After moving it out of the VST3-folder the crash is gone.

It happens on a blank project. No plugins are loaded.

I am having the same problem on windows 10.
After I removed melodyne from the vst3 folder everything is ok now.

The needs to be fixed in Mixcraft. I still use Melodyne Studio 2 - I don't really use it but it's installed. I still have version 7 and it doesn't have this behavior. I don't plan on spending money of the newest version of Melodyne and their freebie version will overwrite older versions.

I wonder if this is only secluded to ver. 8 Pro?

I think its going to be specific to some additional variable besides MX8-PS and Win10 (or 7).

I (and others) have been running it for a while now, and speaking for myself, I have yet to have any such issues as what you describe. Other little quirks yes, but not this one.

If this continues for you (or others), send your log files as Greg previously instructed,
(Which by the way did not say post them here in the forum.... just sayin')
and give it a little time, it will get discovered and sorted out in a relatively short time as always.
There a far to many potential combinations of hardware, software, and user patterns and preferences to discover all the bugs in beta before release, and updates and patches will continue to flow, (again- as always.)

In the meantime, don't forget to save often. 8)

Done that. Since this only happens when exiting the program it's not a real game breaker other than Windows letting you know.
Not really worried since I keep the previous version of every DAW I have until the recent one is more stable.

Melodyne is currently a bit crashy in the 64-bit version of Mixcraft. And so far, it's Melodyne's fault.

Melodyne is AWESOME by the way. So it's not a huge issue. As someone else says, it's not really a crash, more a hiccough.

Hi,

If you haven't already submitted a ticket and attached your log file showing the crash, please do.

We've got a couple of log files so far. We'll work with Celemony to figure out what's going on.
