Performance Panel in-depth tutorials?

Hi guys,

I need help to best use the Performance Panel. I have to record a rather long and complex tune and was hoping to find a way to do it using "patterns" I can then sow together. And then I found out Mixcraft has the Performance Panel that can act that way. (I didn't know). I would use MIDI clips mainly.

So I watched a short video on YouTube where you kind of go through it, but I still have questions. I'm of an older generation, and I find visual aids essential in learning new things.

I'm still using version #7, as I started my album project with it, and don't want to have to tweak back a bunch of stuff that may or may not go wrong if I upgrade right now.

You can add any clips to the PP (performance panel) and then trigger them while recording to the main track area.
