Why is this odd triangle in the lower right corner?

Post by Starship Krupa »

Something I've been wondering about for a while with Mixcraft is the little tringular pile of dots in the lower right corner that in most UI's signifies that it's an extra-large area that you can click and drag to resize the window, often diagonally.

In Mixcraft, these six dots seem to be vestigial. You can click and drag to resize the lower right corner of the window just like the other 4 corners, but you can't do it by clicking on the area formed by the six dots.

Is this thing there intentionally? Is it left over? Was it once a hot spot? Supposed to be a hot spot but never became hot?

Hi,

My guess is that it's guiding you towards the corner, where you can resize the window diagonally.

But I know what you mean. I've clicked on those dots expecting to be able to drag the corner around. I'll see what the devs say.

Maybe it's just to let the user know the extent of the full screen has been reached. If you have a tool bar at the bottom of your screen like I do, you won't even see it unless you make the user window smaller.

I talked to the devs, and it's pretty much what I surmised. Maybe in the future we could make the "hot spot" larger, but in the meantime, you can resize diagonally if you move your cursor until you get the diagonal cursor.
