Not sure why every time I try something in mixcraft 8 pro studio it seems to fail. I can use guitar rig as a stand a lone and works fine with my guitar. As soon as I open it as a vst effect in mixcraft the effects aren't applied to my guitar as I'm playing. I just get a normal clean sound of my electric guitar. The same goes for Guitar amp simulator.
I even tried running mixcraft in administrator mode. No difference. I'm using the steingberg UR22 mk11 as my interface. And yes it is working.
Thanks Alison

Not to ask an all to obvious question but do you have the monitor button selected?\

viewtopic.php?f=4&t=22197 might help with GTR 5
The setup in GTR is different between the stand alone and the VST. You should check the setting in the VST to make sure you interface is setup correctly in it as well.
If your having issues with multiple sims, that seems to point to an operator error.

No the monitor button is not selected, when I do all I get is a high pitched screeching sound similar to feed back, but not feed back. I had guitar amp working once a few months ago, but can't get it to work ever since.
If this is my error, I would love to know what I'm doing wrong, I'm not that new with mixcraft.

Assuming you are monitoring from the interface.
Direct monitoring via the interface would have no effect in the monitored signal.
If you want to monitor with the plug in effect you would need to have the monitor button applied right? So you need to address why that isn't working. Routing, levels, settings, something up with the interface itself.....

I solved my own problem. My sound interface had stereo looping selected in a menu. Had to turn that off, now I can hear my guitar with all the effects in my Vst. NO more feedback sounds.
