Hallo Guys,
is there a way to render a mono audiotrack to mono format with "Mix To New Audiotrack"?
After rendering it is always a STEREO track.

Hi,
There's no option to do that, since you're mixing the entire track, and that might include stereo effects, etc.
Instead, you could right-click on the new clip, select Properties > Channels > and Left or Right.
Or, you could select the clip, choose the "Use Selection" option then mix down to a mono wav file.

Thanks Greg for your quick reply:
I go with the second option - it gives you a "genuine" mono track.

The first option only shows up the left OR right channel, the track still remains in stereo.
Re: Mix To New Audiotrack
They are both exactly the same as each other since the original track is mono.steelstring wrote:The first option only shows up the left OR right channel....

Re: Mix To New Audiotrack
No doubt - but the question was to obtain a MONO track
Re: Mix To New Audiotrack
I think perhaps you have misunderstood some part of Greg's explanation.steelstring wrote:No doubt - but the question was to obtain a MONO track
If you start with a mono track, then render it to a new track, although the resultant track is shown as a stereo waveform, it is not, it is mono, because both the the left and the right are exactly the same as each other. So you can select Properties > Channels > and Left (or Right), or you can leave it as it is. It makes no difference, other than the appearance of the waveform in MC.
There is absolutely no need need to mix it down and re-import it.
