IKM T-Racks 5 in Mixcraft b408

Hi, guys,

Tested T-Racks 5 plugins and they do it well in play mode, but they can't pass through the mixdown: with them active, no sound in the audio file; whith them inactive, sound returns (but without the effects).

With T-Racks Suite active with one or more plugins, Mixcraft crashes when mixdown begins.

Standalone version of T-Racks is OK.

Has someone experienced this? IK bug, or Mixcraft bug?

Hi,

VST2 or VST3 version? If you're using one, try the other.

Tried with VST2 and VST3 installed, only with VST2 and only with VST3...

Hello.

I've just encountered the exact same problem and I'm not sure if it's a Mixcraft problem or an IKM problem but same thing i.e. playback is just fine but mixdown audio files are empty (when I say "empty" they are created with a file size but there is no waveform / sound at all within the file).

I also have T-RackS CS (previous version) and this works just fine still.

I've posted about this on the IKM forum as well (to see if they have any idea as to what's changed).

I downloaded the demo and got the same results, so I filed a bug report. It's interesting that the previous version of T-Racks works.

I'll be interested to see what is discovered.

I like and regularly use a couple of plugs from the previous version, but have held out on the upgrade so far.
Its one of those cases of feeling like I have to repurchase what I already have to get the new stuff, which looks to be of interest, but Its just my nature to balk at that even though it looks like a great deal.
Now I am glad I chose to "wait and see". I don't need any new frustrations with getting stuff to work.

They're reporting problems with T-Racks 5 over at the Sonar forums too. The IKM rep has responded that a fix is coming soon.

Hmmmnnn...

I don't see our problem being mentioned over there so I'm not sure if the said fix from IKM is going to address our problem being experienced here. In addition: IKM has not responded to me at all with regard to the problem that we're experiencing here (I reported this same problem on IKM's forum). What's more: I'm not experiencing any of the problems being described over there i.e. my problem is limited only to no audio when mixing down to audio files from Mixcraft. I sure do hope it's a Mixcraft problem to be honest i.e. if it's an IKM problem then be prepared to wait and wait and wait. There's been another issue with SampleTank 3 (VCF Low Pass Filter) and that's been outstanding for over two months now and it's not been addressed by them yet!!! At least if it's a Mixcraft problem it will be solved very quickly.

I didn't even know there was a version 5.0.1!!! LOL!!! Thanks for sharing. I'll check and download.

The above being said:

I'm afraid this is pointing to an issue with Mixcraft. My reason for saying this is that there is no problem using the new IKM plug-ins with other software e.g. Sony Sound Forge Pro and MAGIX (Sony) Vegas Pro.

Hello again.

Oh well: there goes my bandwidth for the month (after downloading all IKM updates)!!! LOL!!!

Anyway: I can (unfortunately) confirm the above i.e. no change with v5.0.1.

Strange thing (as possibly noted previously):

If the output audio file is examined it has the correct size, bitrate, and length (in time) but just no audio in the file. Dunno if that helps.

Over at GearlSlutz, IKM tech support is saying

This was the first pass at a lot of the reported issues, and was put out right before the long US holiday weekend to make sure people could work with T-RackS 5. There is another update coming to address additional concerns.

Version 5.0.1 did fix a separate problem that I reported to them . But it was in the standalone executable, not in the VST or VST3.
