Hello.

For the sake of interest I tried the workaround i.e. change to WaveRT and Mix Down to WAV. This works but only if Exclusive Mode is disabled (unticked). If Exclusive Mode is enabled (ticked) then the same behavior is exhibited i.e. no audio in the output file. Worth noting that it did not work with Wave only.

Regards,

Dale.

Received this email response from IK Multimedia:
We have been in contact with the Mixcraft dev team and understand that the issue has been resolved on their end but it's not clear when their software will be updated to reflect this fix.

We would suggest to contact them at this point for any further details on the next update of theirs.
Response received 21/03/2018 (yesterday).

Dale.
Hi,

Right, build 412 was that update. They need to release their update now.

For anyone still having this problem, I found a potential workaround.

Find any tracks that you are using T-Racks 5 on and disable the VST plugin. Mix down your file as you would normally. Then, import said file into the stand-alone version of T-Racks. Once you're finished, you can export the track back into Mixcraft.

Figured this out after a few hours of frustration because not only was my master track being muted, but a bunch of (seemingly) random tracks were muted or distorted as well. Turns out, I had been using an effect from T-Racks 5 on them.

Hi,

Have you tried switching to WaveRT mode (in Mixcraft's Sound Device preferences), and then mixing down? That should also work.

Hello.

And the saga continues i.e. this reply posted by IKM on 1 April 2018 on their forums:
We fixed anything that needed to be done in T-RackS but there is a Mixcraft update that is required so you can inquire with them to see when the update is expected.
Regards,

Dale.

Hi,

We've already released that update, it's Mixcraft v8.1 build 412. IK Multimedia needs to release their update now.

So both developers are saying they have released their part of the fix, and suggesting that the other developer has not.

EDIT: same comment posted on both forums.

Hello.

For the sake of interest here's a copy of a post that I just posted on the IKM forums this in response to another nice chap who says his stuff is working now:
Hey thanks Bigfrench05 for testing.

Well I'm stumped. Only works if I use the WaveRT driver in Mixcraft.

Even checked versions. They are:

T-RackS Version 5.1 (8C19) 64-bit
Mixcraft 8.1 64-Bit Build 412

No luck this side.

Regards,

Dale.
So I'm assuming that I have all the correct version numbers. No idea how come his stuff is working now.

Regards,

Dale.

Hi,

Part of the problem is that there is VST2 and VST3, so that makes it extra complicated.

Can you mix down properly with the VST2 version in ASIO mode?

Hello.

Jeepers that was quick!!! LOL!!!

Just tried that. It actually crashes Mixcraft with the error "Mixcraft 8 has stopped working".

I don't know if this helps or meany anything but I've noticed that when it's working i.e. when I change to WaveRT then the little progress bar at the bottom left hand corner of the screen appears. With ASIO and Wave that doesn't even show up (or maybe it does but it moves so quick I'm not seeing it).

Regards,

Dale.

Hi,

I'm sorry, my last suggestion was based on our testing with MODO Bass, not T-RackS.

Which TR5 effect are you testing with?

Hello again.

All of my tests up until now have been largely based on "The One". But they all exhibit the same issue though I think (have tested one or two of the reverbs and same result).

Dale.

Hi,

I got it to work with VST2 in WaveRT using One, Leslie and Tape Echo.

Greg

Edited to add: with 64-bit Mixcraft.
