Recording VST audio
Usually I set up multi-track drum VSTi's with individual audio outs. Once I get the drums right I record the audio to get my individual audio drum tracks. I've tried arming the individual drum output tracks but nothing gets recorded. My other DAW's this, so how do you do this in Mixcraft 8?

You mean like this?

You're going to have to separate manually each instrument in different tracks.
You can add an Output Bus if you have an external hardware to record.

Re: Recording VST audio
Yes, that's step one. It's really easy in Mixcraft. What I want to do after that, is to record the audio coming out of those tracks. I like to work with audio tracks. Reaper does it, as does Sonar. I still have not figured it out in Mixcraft.
Thanks for your assistance.

Re: Recording VST audio
I usually record one instrument at a time, there's no multiple channel routing input at the moment in the DAW that I know.

And he wanders for many hours the infinite net of information to find by luck a link in Acoustica.

Re: Recording VST audio
I am not sure I understand the question. Perhaps you are wanting to render/mix down your MIDI multitrack to audio?
Some DAW's support doing that internally, others require that you render to stems and re-import. Other possible methods include external mixers, multichannel interfaces. The description is vague.

Re: Recording VST audio
Not the perfect solution, but this little plugin can be setup via fx to record the sound of an individual track.
Cons:
There is no synchronization, you need to start every recorder manually.
For when editing the wav file, a clapper noise(clapperboard) would be needed before the instruments start "playing".

Re: Recording VST audio
Not real clear on the question either, but once you get your individual tracks from the VSTi the way you want you can render each track to a new audio track instead of recording them. Page 48 in the Mixcraft 8 manual.
