Again, I am coming from Sonar and am often expecting it to work the same.
Often I want MixCraft open, and on my second monitor I want YouTube open for a Music Writing Lesson, or I might want the MixCraft website open to watch a tutorial, or I want a sound editor open, or.... you get the idea.
However, when MixCraft is open, no other software can make a sound.
I am using Behringer UMC204HD, Windows 10, and the ASIO driver.
Any help or guiance would be great. This is painful for me, possibly a deal killer.
Thanks

Hi,
Some ASIO drivers take exclusive control of your sound device in order to provide better audio performance. The one I'm currently using doesn't, but sometimes they do. The issue you're describing also happens if you use WaveRT with the Exclusive Mode option selected.
Here's something to try:
1. Right-click on the small volume control icon in your Windows task bar and select Playback Devices.
2. Right-click on your audio interface's recording device option and select Properties.
3. Select the Advanced tab and see if "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device" is selected. If it is selected, you could try turning it off and restarting your computer.
