Audio dropout fixed

Just a FYI for people who may have a similiar problem. I had been troubled with intermittent audio dropout for sometime on my ThinkCentre i7 desktop using a Focusrite audio interface with the ASIO drivers plugged into the the motherboard 2.0 USB slot. I could not fix the problem completely with buffer size changes and I even tried a different video card since people had reported that fix. What finally did fix the problem for me was installing a USB 2.0 PCI Express card and plugging my interface and keyboard into that.

Just thought I would pass this along if other people are pulling their hair out over this kind of issue.

what was the make/model of card you got ?

Startech PEXUSB7LP 7 port usb 2.0. I found one used on ebay for $8.00 which included shipping. My win 7 machine recognized it without the need of propritary driver installation.
