Pitch correction?

Post by kr236rk »

Hi,

Have a lousy voice, which is the best pitch corrector out there please? Have used the GS application in Mixcraft 7 which sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. It would be useful to get something visual so you can see just how far out the vocal is.

I know this is an imperfect fix, some of my songs don't neatly slot into keys, so correcting pitch is not as simple as it might appear.

Keys - apart from major keys - are a bit of a mystery to me as well :-o

Thanks.
Ric

Mixcraft 8 Pro Studio comes with Melodyne, it's one of the best pitch correction tools on the market.

Yes, just click on STORE up above on this very web page and then select Upgrade. It is a worthy upgrade.

Thanks but negative. All I get is this: "Here is your download link to the Nightlife VST Synthesizer Installer."

Also, over the many years I have used Mixcraft my email address has changed, so the auto-search at STORE will send upgrade details to an email address which no longer exists.

Please advise.

Still have my original code for Mixcraft 7 so emailing Acoustica for lost codes doesn't seem to be an option. Can't see anything in Mixcraft 7 which allows the user to upgrade?

Thanks, I see the G-Snap corrector in Mixcraft 8 but not Melodyne. Where would I find this please? The buy-code I was sent was for Mixcraft 8, I bought it for pitch correction.

Taken me two days to download Mixcraft 8 which has a pitch correction effect called GSnap that I already have on Mixcraft 7, now I have it twice :-|

Melodyne received enthusiastic comments on this thread, but it is taking too long to acquire and I found the advice confusing, and the procedure too complicated.

Does anyone use 'Waves Tune' with Mixcraft please? It seems a lot easier to get onto a DAW.

Thanks.

Melodyne essentials is included in Mixcraft 8 Pro Studio version, as Eric pointed out.
I'd also add that essentials is a very basic version of Melodyne. Still, sounds far better than G-Snap is capable of once you figure it out.

I haven't tried it, but if I recall correctly Waves Tune does NOT function well or properly in Mixcraft due to some special routing needs or issues.
Stay in tune, Mark

Thanks,

Waves Software is attracting some rave revues currently, I may well investigate! ;)

Waves Tune might work in Ableton? I have a Live Lite 8 edition which seems to support plugins/vst's. In which case I'd use it as a stand-alone editor, independent of Mixcraft.

Yes, I've seen posts where Waves is not working well in Mixcraft due to a Rewire issue or something?

Swings & roundabouts

Waves Tune Real Time works in MC7, you can use it real time or as effect after recording. You can demo it.
