'New Theme' Issue/Bug?
This is probably only happening to me right now as I'm building a new theme.
MC8.412, and I believe 408 seems to be switching themes internally without my consent.
1. I created a new theme with it's own folder and file set.
2. I've set Preferences>Display>Visual Theme to the new theme with no issues while using MC8.
3. Occasionally when entering Preferences for any other reason and I click OK or Cancel to close it I get the warning: "Restart Required!" "You've changed the current visual theme..." Only I never did.
4. Upon reopening MC8 the theme is switched back to the default theme.
This is more FYI as I know the Visual Theme function isn't fully developed yet.

Thanks Greg, will do. Hopefully it's something I'm doing wrong.

Re: 'New Theme' Issue/Bug?
It happened again. After going into Preferences/Plugins to rescan my plugins, I got the "You changed the language" and "You changed the theme" messages, which require a restart for the changes to take affect, Only this time I was using MC8x64 with factory default theme and settings, not my highly modified MC8x32.
When reopening MC8x64 the theme hadn't changed but the language was now Chinese-Simplified (tho it looks more like computer code).
Since no alterations of any kind were made to MC8x64, I believe these incidents have nothing to do with my new theme. It may be something within MC8 or the Registry causing this???

Hi,
I assume you're using build 413 now? If not, be sure to update.
If it's happening with build 413, maybe it's some kind of Windows permissions issue?

413 here.
… it wouldn't be permitting Chinese hackers into my system?!? Chinese-Simplified is the 1st language in the list so could be some kind of default reset glitch.Acoustica Greg wrote:If it's happening with build 413, maybe it's some kind of Windows permissions issue?

Hi,
If you right-click on Mixcraft's icon and select "Run As Administrator," does the problem happen?

Re: 'New Theme' Issue/Bug?
I don't normally run as admin. This thing happens maybe once out of every 10 times going into Preferences. And I go into Preferences about once out of every 20/30 times using MC8.
I'll try to run MC8 as admin every time I use it and see what happens. Knowing me, the one time I forget to run as admin it'll happen again.

Hi,
You can edit the properties of the Mixcraft shortcut icon to always run in admin mode if you want.
Right-click > Properties > Compatibility tab.
