The issue was never Stuttering. The issue is it cutting the ends off *all* the notes at release instead of letting them ring out. Its definately a bug, not a performance issue. But I don't know if its in Play or Mixcraft (Kontakt doesn't do it in Mixcraft. Play doesnt do it in Studio One/etc. Its..... weird)
I kind of drove myself into a corner on this one re projects and time so I'm using Studio One for now which does pretty much everything I need except perhaps the lack of score view [and I dont really edit on score view, its just easier for me when reading music, and trying to reason about arangements]. But I'll check back next release of either Play or Mixcraft and see if the situations improved. I kind of need better midi routing anyway and I have to assume thats high on the todo list.
edit: This isn't meant as an insult to Mixcraft. I just have a few specific needs that don't quite align right now regarding midi routing, SMPTE sync and the Play issue. Its still my #1 recomendation to everyone who comes to my studio asking for advice on getting started.

Re: Mixdown issues with EastWest
Hi,
Click on the Main Menu within Play, and try turning off the "Stream from Disk" option.
Does that fix the problem?
