Many thanks, but the R8 doesn't show up on interface startup like your R16, must be a different set up machine. No blinking of the interface display etc. You say you contacted Samson Support? I might just try Zoom and give them an earful for all my trouble which may have been a time waste, as an earlier poster stated they were never able to get their unit working either.

I noticed a lot of info on the R8 product page
https://www.zoom-na.com/products/produc ... #downloads
Strange that under compatibility, it lists:
Windows® XP SP3 or later (32-bit)
Windows® Vista SP1 or later (32-bit, 64-bit)
Windows® 7 (32-bit, 64-bit)
32-bit: Intel® Pentium® 4 1.8 GHz or faster, RAM 1 GB or more
64-bit: Intel® Pentium® Dual Core 2.7 GHz or faster, RAM 2 GB or more

In this instance no Win 10 mentioned and it says Intel for some reason, no mention of AMD. The page has a couple compatibility downloads. One says FL Studio ASIO cannot be installed on your system. The other mentions what DAWs are compatible and what are not. (MC not included, no surprise)There's also a firmware update v1.02 you should probably check. Have you tried uninstalling the UR242 in case there is a conflict, in light of the FL Studio warning? If all else fails, is there a way to install the R8 in either Win 7 or 8 compatibility mode. I'm not sure about that one.
