Projects Name Problem

Post by banzailoco »

Ran into a weird problem. Saved a project file "Bang !" and "Bang !.." in Mixcraft7 and when tried to open it, could not find it.
There were two folders, "Bang !" and "Bang !..", the latter contained the .wav files.
When I deleted "Bang !.." the project file appear in "Bang !" in the sub folder backup.
Restored "Bang !.." then copied the .wav and the project file to a new folder. The problem started when deleting one of the folders, would get a message when deleting the second folder.
Could not find this item.
This is no longer located in X. Verify the item's location and try again.

The solution that worked for me.

Go to where you saved your project and open a Command Prompt.
Ex: "C:\Users\"User"\Documents\Mixcraft Projects"

Hold Shift + Ctrl + Right Click "Mixcraft Projects", then "Open command window here"

type dir /x

You should see a name like BANG!~2 besides Bang !..

Then type rmdir "BANG!~2"

Don't named your projects with the characters !@#$%^&*<>? and ...
