I can just hear Ricardo Montalban say that, just like he said "rich, Corinthian leather" in the Chrysler Cordoba commercial!

Those aren't faux. That's genuine mahogany. 8)
Believe it, that's 32 Bit floating grain Mahogany tonewood.

Hi,
I like the way the mixer looks. A may be biased, as you will see from the picture of my 8 channel.

The mixer was a German kit I built in 1981. I have since modified and upgraded the ICs. It has a discrete front-end mic pre. I use it along with my 18i20. Example; when I record drums, I have mic's on bass drum, snare, toms(3), hihat, going into the 18i20, and a stereo overhead pair going into the 8 channel mixer. There I have outboard compressors inserted.
I also use this mixer for my Rhodes, one other synths.
It doesn't have 32bit floating wood, just plain analog wood.

Now looking from this angle makes me wonder how I would reach all those controls. :?: Same with other console pics I've seen.

Morning,

I thought of this thread when I downloaded some of the tesselode plugins this morning like Cocoa Delay:

https://tesselode.itch.io/cocoa-delay

If that's the interface we're talking about moving toward, it looks a bit unpolished to me.

Yeah, apparently this does seem to be a trend. It appears 1)some people/organizations have a use for it, and 2)some people like it.
These are simple, unrefined UI s. As I mentioned earlier in this thread, a sort of devolution in UI s. Hopefully we don't go there unless absolutely necessary.
