I have the Scarlet 18i20 and the Focusrite control software allows you to setup a monitoring volume. Try that.

I will look into my focusrite software. Didn't think of that.
Thanks

Hi,
On pages 21, & 22 of the Focusrite Control manual shows how to set up headphone mixes code overdubbing. This uses the AI interface software.
Hope that helps.

I still haven't looked at control manual. I tried the mixcraft way and I am pleased with that. it does exactly what I want. but I will look at focusrite.
thanks a lot.

So I finally was able to check on my interface for that feature. My unit is too basic to have that feature. I looked at your manual for the 18i2 pages 21-22 and saw what you were talking about.
Thanks
So far I'm happy with the Mixcraft way.

Great. I never tried the Mixcraft route. I will look into it.

Morning,

They do make simple gain knob plugins you and pop on the track to quiet it down while you record, might be easier than doing sends and all that, plus you can enable/disable it at will.
