Mixcraft 8.1 Recording Problem

Hi, I have a problem while recording into Mixcraft 8 through my Behringer UMC204HD audio interface.

Sometimes the level of the track will "freeze" once I hit record, meaning that I can't record anything and it doesn't even record a silent track, it simply doesn't do anything (the timer is moving, it just doesn't record). When this happens, I can't get a signal until I disarm and rearm the track, which is a huge bummer since this can sometimes happen many times in a row.

Could someone please help me, this is my only gripe with the software!

I've had this exact same issue, but with a different device. I ended up removing the driver, then reinstalling it and it cleaned up the problem.....

Hi,

I have a UMC204HD and I've never run into that problem. Be sure to download and install the latest Windows driver from Behringer's UMC204HD download page.

Also make sure you're using ASIO mode in Mixcraft's sound device preferences.

If those things don't help, get the problem to happen again, then quit Mixcraft and send us your mixcraft-log.txt file.

To find the mixcraft-log file, highlight the following line and press Ctrl+C to copy it:

Code: Select all

%appdata%\Acoustica\Mixcraft\
Press the Windows Key+R to pop up the Run box in Windows. Click in the Run box and press Ctrl+V to paste in the line from above. Finally, click OK to go to the location of the mixcraft-log.txt file. Submit an Acoustica Support Request and attach the log file along with a brief description of the problem.
