I had Mixcraft 5 for a long time and i loved it so much I decided to upgrade to Mixcraft 8. I can save files in 8, but cannot mixdown to mp3 or wav or any other format. The message i receive is: c:\users\Owners\ - whatever folder and file name I give.... File Not Found. Check the File Name and Try Again.

Please help

Hello and welcome to the Mixcraft forum.

Click on the little gear icon on the top of MX8 to open Preferences and scroll down to Recording... what Default Project Folder are you saving too?

Are you using the little blue floppy icon to save your projects?

Hi,

Make sure you're mixing down to a folder for which you have Windows write permission.

Also make sure your anti-virus software isn't preventing Mixcraft from creating files.

If those things don't help, try it one more time, then quit Mixcraft and send us your mixcraft-log.txt file.

To find the mixcraft-log file, highlight the following line and press Ctrl+C to copy it:

Code: Select all

%appdata%\Acoustica\Mixcraft\
Press the Windows Key+R to pop up the Run box in Windows. Click in the Run box and press Ctrl+V to paste in the line from above. Finally, click OK to go to the location of the mixcraft-log.txt file. Submit an Acoustica Support Request and attach the log file along with a brief description of the problem.
