Just want to send a short description of my problems with Mixcraft 8 Pro 418 and what I suspect can be a problem. After an abnormal end of the program (Mixcraft doesnt answer) I couldn't start it again. Probably there was some fault on the exe-file because when I ran checkdisk, errors was found and corrected. I reinstalled Mixcraft the long way after a thorough removal of prior and it's functional again.
So the question is why I have these stops when I exits Mixcraft. I think I've seen a pattern here: After mixdown I often just readjust things that size of a window och close something that that not have to be saved. If I exit now I get the answer if I want to save the project again. The problem occurs if I press "Yes". Earlier savings before mixdown often go very fast due to caching (I suppose) and never fails. But if answer yes on exit I often get the "Mixcraft doesen't answer" and have to stop it in the Task Manager. I've also noticed that the stop occurs somewhere around 25% of the saving-routine and it seems like it tries to do a complete rewrite of the project on harddrive. I didn't see this on Mixcraft 7. Can Melodyne affect this? Just speculations from an amateur but I just wanted to give you a report. Earlier I have sent you 2 crash-reports but got no answer so I wanted to report how I solved it and what I suspect can be the problem. Have a nice day!/Kenneth

I'm not seeing any crash reports from you under the email address you're using for these forums. Did you use a different email address when you sent them in? We're pretty good about answering our emails within 24 hours.

This is happening with version 8.1 build 418? If you have an older build, you should update to get all the bug fixes.

The next time this happens, quit Mixcraft and send us your Mixcraft-log.txt file.

To find the mixcraft-log file, highlight the following line and press Ctrl+C to copy it:
Press the Windows Key+R to pop up the Run box in Windows. Click in the Run box and press Ctrl+V to paste in the line from above. Finally, click OK to go to the location of the mixcraft-log.txt file. Submit an Acoustica Support Request and attach the log file along with a brief description of the problem.

I have had problems with Mixcraft 8 for the past year or so. It would work fine for a half hour to an hour then it would suddenly refuse to playback a track. "Preferences" would not show Fast Track Pro as the recording and playback device. That field would be empty. I would have to shut the program down (it would save, however) and start over. M-Audio tech claims it is not compatible with Windows 10. I was going to buy a new interface because mine was more than 10 years 0ld. I tried changing drivers. After the third driver I installed 6.0.2[/b] (Nov 14, 2009 - Qualified with Windows XP SP3, Windows Vista 32-Bit SP1, Windows Vista 64-Bit SP1, Windows Vista 32-Bit SP2, Windows Vista 64-Bit SP2, Windows 7 32-Bit, Windows 7 64-Bit.Initial Windows 7 Release). This has solved the issue and Windows 10 accepts the program perfectly. I came very close to trashing a perfectly operating Fast Trac Pro.
