I've been away for quite a while. First thing I did was to install the latest update and load a file. For some reason the transport no longer engages. It goes into play mode but nothing happens. IS this a bug, a windows issue or something else? This is MC 8 Pro Studio.

Hi,
That means that you're having a problem with the selected Playback Device in Sound Device preferences. Most likely, you just need to change the Playback Device setting. If you've got the correct one selected and it still doesn't work, then check and see if there are any updated audio drivers available for your sound device.
If you can't get in there to change anything, you can run the file called "Reset Audio to Factory Defaults," which is located inside your Acoustica Mixcraft 8 folder.
