Hey all,

So I got this weird error when trying to record. I had a few plugins open and found that the issue only occurred with my Fabfilter plugins. Once the error message comes up I have to exit MC totally.

I've tried opening as administrator, reinstalling my plugins, reinstalling MC, checking for Windows updates, graphics card drivers. All the basic stuff that I could think of. The Fabfilter plugs work fine when on a track when just playing back but anytime I want to record with a FF plug open I get the same error message.

Any thoughts?

Uninstalled FF plugins and now I get the error message every time I try to record. MIDI is fine, it's just audio....... This has become worrisome. I saw an older post about admin permissions but want to make sure I check off all the boxes before I do anything.

Hmm bummer, I don't know, you usually help me. Hopefully Greg can help... But if you haven't already, you may also want to ask the makers of the Fabfilter plugs too.

Sometimes this problem is due to anti-virus software. Windows Defender has a controlled folder access option, for example:

Thanks for the prompt response! I'm at work but will check that as soon as I get home! I did a Windows Update and it suggested I click that and I did so that's probably it! Fingers crossed.
