See page 165 in the manual.
Mixcraft supports AVI,WMV, and MP4 video formats.

Hmm, it should. Have you tried dragging and dropping it into Mixcraft? Also checkout the Video Tutorials: https://www.acoustica.com/mixcraft/v7/h ... topics.php

what Im discovering is, there ARE DIFFERENT VARIANTS of mp4.

Hopefully Mixcraft 9 will be MORE FLEXIBLE accepting formats

Hi,

Mixcraft relies upon Microsoft DirectShow, along with any DirectShow-compatible video codecs that you have installed on your computer. What happens when you try to import the MP4 file? Is there an error message? If so, what does it say?

Hmm, I just made a quick test video with the free Windows 10 Video Editor (MP4) and dragged and dropped it into Mixcraft and it works good.

Hi,

Also, if you're using 32-bit Mixcraft, try installing 64-bit Mixcraft.

MP4 (MPEG4) is a wrapper. What MX deals with is the actual codec inside the wrapper (such as H.264), and that's often hard to determine unless you use a tool like GSpot. It's not uncommon to have some MP4 files that play great and some that won't play at all.

If this sounds utterly confusing, it is and has been for a long time through no fault of MX.
