Freezing attacks... wow, I nearly died the first time I tried it. Maybe an option without the sound effect could be offered?
Also: could an option for actually hiding tracks (frozen or not) be offered so they don't show up in the track window? Like for the Mixer?
This would be really useful for tracks I set up in case I need them (like backing vocals) but don't necessarily then use.

Re: Freezing tracks / Hiding tracks
Hi,
Mixcraft 9 will have a couple of things to address the startling frozen track sound issue. 1. The sound itself is more subdued. 2. Mixcraft 9 will have a preview volume control in the mixer to control the volume of sounds like that.
In regard to your other comment, you can hide tracks in the mixer view:
If you're overwhelmed by tracks in the track view, you might try putting some in submixes.

Hi Greg,
Thx for the quick reply, submixes certainly look like something I should investigate, I hand't discovered them in the manual properly but will watch the video.
As to the frozen sound - a few decibels down would be good (or mute)
Loving MX8 so far, it's a breath of fresh air regarding my DAW experiences to date.
(I'll also use the New Topic button next time... )

Hi all,
I finally joined the forum to reply to this topic! On the subject of hidden tracks, will Mixcraft 9 be able to show and hide tracks from a Mackie Control surface? I would love it if the track list in the mixer was synchronized on my X-Touch (also would love it if the level meters worked).

Hi,
Synchronized track list? What do you mean?
Are you using Mixcraft v8.1 build 418?

Hi Greg,
Yes, I am using 8.1 Pro Studio 64 build 418.
I mean when I hide tracks in Mixcrafts mixer, they still show on my control surface (in this case an X-Touch with Mackie Control). I would prefer it if when I hide a track in Mixcraft, it is also hidden on the control surface.

It's still there in Mixcraft 9, it's just shorter, and there's volume control.Northfield.Lenox wrote:I love that freezing noise!
