Hello everyone,

I just bought a new vst plugin from Waves, its the Waves Tune Real-time plugin.

I installed the plugin and redeemed the license in Waves Central, but when i start my daw (I use Mixcraft Pro Studio 7 32bit) I cannot find the plugin under my FX button.

Is there a 32bit version of that plugin that I can install in to Mixcraft ? I recently bought a Reneisannce Comressor and I just installed it in the Waves Central and it poped out in my DAW under FX, but the "Tune Real-Time plugin" doesnt, I tried to rescan my all vst folders but it didnt work.

I searched throughout all my Waves folder that I have in my computer, but i can only find a 64bit version of that plugin.

Can someone help me where can I find the 32bit version of that plugin and install it into Mixcraft ?

Thank you.

Hi,

You could run the installer again and install 64-bit Mixcraft 7 if you wanted.

I saw that Waves has gone to v11 with their Waves Central...... Oh boy.......

Don't mess with any waves files or folders, they use Waves Central in how they control your plugins, and once in your system it's not just a dll. You have to make sure it's moved to your system and MC should see your plugins. Make sure you select both vst2 and vst3 so you can see whether one or the other works.

And as said, upgrade to 64bit if your system can do it.

The last two { recent plugins } I bought from waves, I havent even tried to install.

I'm hoping MIXCRAFT ENGINEERS and WAVES software gurus can finally get together on solving the compatibility problems ASAP!

I'd hate to move back to Studio One, or protools, or garage Band, or......................

{ For more info - see the thread , here, on DAWS that Waves plugins has certified! }

@redy:
That plug in is 64 bit only. It will not show up in a 32 bit host. (DAW)
I THINK it is also VST3 only, which MAY be a problem in MX8. (I have it installed, but have not yet had occasion to actually use it, so I cant speak to its functionality)
BTW: I also suspect its a heavy hit on the computer resources. Probably both RAM and CPU.

@Rolling Estonian:
I would suggest avoiding the update to Wave v11 at this time.
First, (from what I understand) its primary change is to support Mac OS Catalina (Blah blah....) which apparently is causing widespread havoc with plug-in producers.
Second, these updates are problematic if like me, (and apparently many users) you don't keep up with your Waves update plans. Waves plug ins with expired update plans may not work if you update to a new Waves shell version. You can however install most new Waves plug-in purchases on your old version. This may at some later time become a problem as some new titles are produced that may require the new version. If and when that happens they may lose a lot of customers..... Jus' sayin'

As stated, don't "mess" with the installer. IE: don't move things around trying to "fix" the installation. It will likely make problems worse. But yes, the installation issues persist. Its a bit of an odd setup.

But as previously stated in another thread, all but one of approx. 40 Waves titles work for me so far in Mixcraft.

For MX8 users, I suggest not bothering with the VST3 option during installation. VST3 appears to be giving problems in multiple DAW's at this time. If given the option, install the VST2 versions.

VST3 testing in MX9 is ongoing...… I am personally testing some now. Time will tell.

"Certified" means little to me except that perhaps more testing has been done. I know there has been communication about the VST3 and possible other compatibility issues (possible intermittent crashes etc.) But can't speak as to what depth the effort might be.

There are no compatibility problems on my end, I was just saying how Waves was kind of a PITA but they work fine for me with their v10, that's vst3 too.

Guess I'm one of the lucky ones that's had no issues but I've only got a few anyways.
