Re: Giant Track Images
Hi,
As mentioned, you can change the image if you want. You could even just use a black square as an image if you wanted. Then you would make a template with your custom images.
Having the images the way they are is actually a feature, since we had complaints about how small the images were in earlier versions. I found at least two bug reports on that. These images are scalable.
How would you like to see it work? The images do stop enlarging if you make the track big enough, would you want it to stop getting larger at some earlier point?

Re: Giant Track Images
Thank you for the feedback guys. Although Acoustica don't currently have a timetable for this request, they will add your suggestions to their feature request list and give it careful consideration. We know they do their best to focus on developing those features which are feasible and benefit the most users. Again, thank you for your input and continued support of Mixcraft v9 ...♥ ♥

Previous versions of Mixcraft had track images. They're intended to help you see which type of track it is at a glance. Is the problem that the image gets too big, or is the problem that you don't like the images?

Hi,outteh wrote:Just offer an option to expand or not!
Would you want the smallest track image size on extra large tracks? I guess that's the way it worked in Mixcraft 8. Thanks for the suggestion!
Although, Mixcraft 8 didn't have an extra large track setting. The image currently scales for the four track height settings, with the new extra large setting being the biggest.
Also new in Mixcraft 9: you can cycle through track height settings using this hotkey: Ctrl+~

Re: Giant Track Images
My issue (minor as it is) is that the images get too big now. (See the Bat Boy!)
Interesting - when I first purchased MC 7 I thought I would constantly use the image option but found I rarely make changes to the defaults and use the track colours to help organize.. Its definitely nice to see which are midi tracks and which are audio tracks - probably will start to use the image option more now that I've been reminded.

Re: Giant Track Images
Hi,
So, in other words, the largest image size matches the new extra large track height setting.

Re: Giant Track Images
I don't personally have an issue with the images. I seldom used them, I only expand the track height when I'm tweaking an audio track, then I set it back to normal size.Acoustica Greg wrote:Hi,outteh wrote:Just offer an option to expand or not!

Re: Giant Track Images
FWIW: I’ve never expanded a track height.

I'm guessing there are plenty of others in your camp. Some of this is just people getting used to new stuff. Anyway, I passed the suggestion along.

Re: Giant Track Images
The giant track images are SCARY! hover over the image and a little dropdown arrow pops up, click that and you get a panel with all the images and an option to exterminate them! Or add your own.
Can't really see any problem with little or big TBH

Re: Giant Track Images
Just that I've never used them and don't see the need to. Yes, I know previous versions have them, but then you have track labels. Bass is bass - I don't need to see a pic to remind me as well. Personal opinion of course.Acoustica Greg wrote:Hi,trevlyns wrote:and/or an option to display or not.
