Start Menu Icon

MC9 has a nice icon that fills the entire tile square for the Start Menu screen whereas MC8 and and all my older apps have tiny icons in the center of the tile. Is this a new Windows Update thing, a newer icon from the app itself, or can the old icons be updated similarly?

Can you take a screenshot? I have like 5 versions of mixcraft installed and the all the start menu and desktop icons are equivalent in size

I noticed the same thing. MC9 has a folder at C:\Program Files\Acoustica Mixcraft 9\Assets. Inside are 2 icon png files. 70x70 and 150x150 in size. The file used for MC8 is either smaller or they don't make use of the whole tile.

It uses mixcraft9.VisualElementsManifest.xml to trigger it.

You can create a similar file & folder for MC8 if you want it to have a custom tile icon.

Wasn't aware this could be done in Win 10 but it's now possible for all start menu tiles. Just add the Assets folder, xml file and a new graphic.
