Glitching Out when playing library sounds and main project at the same time

I run 2 monitors with no graphics problems at all. I have Mixcraft main track view open on my top monitor and the "Details Monitor" open on the bottom monitor.
I can have the mixer with all of it's fancy displays running, but if I have the Library open, playback it awful and stuttery.
Only the Library window open semms like a weird glitch??

Running trial version 9, 64bit, Build 442.
Ryzen 1700, 16g ram, B350 mobo, GTX650

CPU Mixcraft 7% Computer 8%

Thanks in advance
Hi Greg, I thought I had answered this question also.... also have a drag or glitching type of issue. It normal occurs when I and running my main track when previewing sound from the library. The library is 'still', I will scroll to a sound I want to hear, start my track, listen to the sound but the track itself stutters... drags behind the sound about two seconds or so. The wave file I am listening to stays on beat in the library. What I would do at this point is save the track, shut it down, then reopen the project--most times the 'dragging behind' goes away. I am using two monitors, with the mixer undocked

Hi,

Get it to happen again, then quit Mixcraft and send us your Mixcraft-log.txt file.

To find the mixcraft-log file, highlight the following line and press Ctrl+C to copy it:

Code: Select all

%appdata%\Acoustica\Mixcraft\
Press the Windows Key+R to pop up the Run box in Windows. Click in the Run box and press Ctrl+V to paste in the line from above. Finally, click OK to go to the location of the mixcraft-log.txt file. Submit an Acoustica Support Request and attach the log file along with a brief description of the problem.

Hi,
Is your library on the same Hard Drive as your saved project. If it is, it may be that the hard drive is trying to access data to play back your project and the sound you want from the library at the same time. I had this happen to me with my old computer when using my EW orchestra, which only had 2 hard drives.

On my new computer I had 3 drives installed so I could have my library sounds on its own drive, and a drive for pronects, all separate from the operating system drive.

Hope this may help.

Happy New Year!
