I finally have time today to explore Version 9. I may be posting more than a couple questions - and I will do a search before I do so as not to be too annoying.
My first, that I can't find an explanation for - is the preview track. How / when /why would that be used? I see something about previewing loops and another saying using it to control the metronome volume. Not sure though how - and what purpose it really serves. (I hate not understanding something that seems valuable and intuitive to most everyone!)

Mixcraft 8 Pro (32bit) runs fine on a Toshiba Satellite C55-B laptop with a wimpy Celeron N2830 (dual core). Now using 64bit on a "less wimpy" Dell 660S/Dual Core Pentium/8GB RAM.

Hi Bill... Happy New Year.
The preview track is a separate volume fader for loops and the metronome... personally I never or rarely use it. Some users asked for it because the loop volume would blast them when auditioning loops unless they turned down the master volume fader.

Hi,
It can also help with the track freezing sound, which some have found to be alarmingly loud in previous versions of Mixcraft.

I saw that and I don't get how that helps? You mean the "crackle" when it freezes?

The volume of the freeze audio file you hear when you freeze something.

Re: Finally getting time to explore V9 - preview track
Ok - but how do you use the preview track to change that volume?

Re: Finally getting time to explore V9 - preview track
Just move the preview volume track fader up or down.
