What build do you have right now? What version of Windows do you have?

Win10, build 442, 64 bits, no restriction with firewall, no internet problems. Was the same for last version, I had to reinstall for build 442.
Will do the same, maybe. Not a big deal, but since i'm not the only one maybe it's time to investigate, something seems to be broken in the "check for update" process. It's always better to spend time makig music instead of computer maintenance

Hi,
I don't think it's broken for most people, but it would be nice to know why some people can't use it. Check for updates, then quit Mixcraft and send us your mixcraft-log.txt file.
To find the mixcraft-log file, highlight the following line and press Ctrl+C to copy it:
Press the Windows Key+R to pop up the Run box in Windows. Click in the Run box and press Ctrl+V to paste in the line from above. Finally, click OK to go to the location of the mixcraft-log.txt file.
Submit an Acoustica Support Request and attach the log file along with a brief description of the problem.

Likewise, 442 to 447 updated smoothly and error free for me.

As I still have MX8 installed, I tried something:
Run MX8 (64bits)>check for update> no update avaiable (normal)
closed MX8, run MX9 64 bits
Mixcraft took longer to start, by rescanning the whole plugins
But now> new version avaiable!
I think I should unsinstall MX8, as I no longer use it.

Whenever I'm trying to mix the audio into new audio track including effects, it turns off the effects after mixing into new audio track
