MIX 8 Skin in MIX 9

Noticed in the log file that there are a lot of errors from *.PNG missing files when using the Mixcraft 8 skin in Mixcraft 9 Pro. Not as big issue I don't think but it does slow down load times a bit.

Using Mixcraft 9 Pro Studio, Build 442, 64 bit.

I'll have to check later but I think some of those were fixed in later builds. Maybe not all but definitely many.

You're actually noticing a difference in load time with different skins? I haven't noticed any difference in loading time. Are you using build 447?

Let's see, I've got these missing:

mixrez\skins\mix8\stop-3.png
mixrez\skins\mix8\iw-delete-03.png
mixrez\skins\mix8\clip-mute-3.png
mixrez\skins\mix8\button-flat-active.png
mixrez\skins\mix8\button-sharp-active.png
mixrez\skins\mix8\details-undock-3.png
mixrez\skins\mix8\play-3.png

Do you have others that are missing beyond this? Make sure you've got build 447 or higher.

Load time difference is in seconds, and yes most of the skins I saw missing were the ones you have Greg. I'm on build 442. I'm not doing beta testing this time.

Hi,

Build 447 is the release build, so you might try updating to that and see if loading time improves.

I tested it in beta build 450, so we know those files are still missing. I'll file a bug report.

I must have missed the announcement for build 447? And I guess the program still doesn't check for updates on it's own?

Hi,

It does, but only periodically in the interest of not being annoying. Also, firewalls can interfere with update checks.

My bad! I have Mixcraft 9 on a Win 7 and Win 10 dual boot. I updated the Win 10 when I got the notice, forgot about Win 7! Greg, is there an .ini tweak we can do to let the program tell us more often about updates?

Tom, Acoustica is working on new builds with beta testers, etc all the time, so I check for updates regularly... It only takes a few seconds. Anyway, best regards.
