Hi!
Just updated to v452 and all the active clip names changed from black to white.
How do I make them black again? Can't find it in prefs and it looks horrible.
Also: did you make the whole layout lighter, or that clipnames changed my vision?

Re: Clip Names Colour
Hi,
Whether the clip name text is black or white depends upon your selected track color. The text is black on lighter-colored clips and white on darker-colored clips.
You can go into Mixcraft's Display preferences and try out the different visual themes if you like.

Re: Clip Names Colour
I don't know...
I have the same theme and track colour for a long, long time.
Last update changed this:
Into this:
And that's what you see with the smaller clips:
Both - ugly and distorting
So you say, now I have to change track colours to get rid of this?
Why, oh why...

Because it was hard to read black text on dark colors.

Re: Clip Names Colour
Well, than would be nice to leave the choice.
You get used to something, like it and it changes to worse...
Maybe few more options in display prefs?
- White / black clip name to choose for good
- And where you can hide the clip buttons, you can only hide them all.
Would be nice to get rid of the bloody 'plus1' button, but still keep very useful Mute button

Re: Clip Names Colour
This was changeable in v8 mixskin.ini "[clip-text color]".
In v9 the line is still there but has no affect on the color. Same with "[clip-data color]".
Is it possible to have these changeable again? I find the dark text hard to see on some of the clips.
Thanks.

Re: Clip Names Colour
That's good to know actually.
I'm not to code-wise, so I'm usually not digging in it and only use options provided by makers.
And what was [clip-data color] responsible for?
I want them changeable too, but for opposite reason. I completely don't use the clip names and I'm only interested in track names.
So before the change they were almost invisible for me, and now that's the only thing I see over the clip
Re: Clip Names Colour
BTW, did you update? Your description says M9 442, and that is where the clip names were still dark.
I have updated to 452 and it changed the color to white on dark clips.
What made me unhappy might be your relief
Re: Clip Names Colour
Yup, latest update applied. It's a hassle updating my sig every time so I may just delete that reference.
I prefer White text on clips. The only colors that work with black text for me are Gray and Yellow and I hardly use those.
