Song bpm won't match/fit loop bpm

Post by Sirens »

When adding a new drumloop to a track, the loop boundaries are not aligned with to those of the measures, even when I specify Mixcraft to do so by matching the bpm of the song with the original bpm of the loop.

This feature used to work correct until yesterday. Could it be that I inadvertently changed someting in my underlying settings?

Thanks, Herb

PS: I meanwhile noted that some particular loops are being fitted perfectly (see Screenshot, line 1 "Drums" using a loop from the 125 BPM set) while other loops (from the 156 BPM set, see line 2 "New Drums") are not being aligned/"fitted" automatically; see the white line ar bar 6.
No idea how this can happen!

The bottom line of this problem is that I cannot construct a song using the 156 BPM set since the loop BPM fails to match the song BPM...

Select the clips (top border), open the sound tab and select 'Use Project Tempo)

Thank you Trevor. I tried that but unfortunately Mixcraft didn't grab the BPM of the clip. However when typing it in manually in the Soundtab > "Original Clip Tempo" I can get it pretty close.
Beats me why for one clip (even within the same set) the tempo is picked up correctly and it isn't for another one.
Thank you!

Maybe starting your song on the first measure would help?

Thank you, but that didn't help.
I finally found out that apparently some parent bpm's of clips are being recognized and others are not.
The way to resolve this is to manually type in the original bpm of the clip in the Soundtab menu as described above in my reply to Trevor's advise.

Hi.

I've asked about it too, here's the thread:
https://forums.acoustica.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=25372

But if you don't wanna read, the conclusion was that it only loops the samples with tempo metadata.
If they only have a bpm in the name of the file it won't loop and you have to do it manually.
