MC piano vst detuning...

Post by kabuchi »

Greetings,

When I lay down tracks, the piano vsts in particular will detune. I sometimes have to redo the whole track and at times it will happen again.

Can anybody point to me why this might be happening?

Thanks

Wow, that’s a new one, and I don’t know... Are you using MX9 Pro, build 452?

ok...thanks. I should mention that it happened to me with MC8 as well but I just stuck with it and its still here in MC9. Seems almost unique to me apparently.

Will send log file when it happens again.

thanks

Hopefully it’s not a faulty wheel on your keyboard surface controller, anyway, best wishes and you’re welcome.

Some questions that may provide clues:

Does this happen on playback of the open project, or just upon mix-down?

What piano vsti (or vsti's) specifically is this occurring with?

What sampling rate are you using?

happens while playing and during playback so when this happens I will scrap the recorded part and start over...or edit out the detuned part.

Acoustica's acoustic pianos mostly, once or twice acoustic strings...

44100 hz, 32 bit.

I should have also asked about sound device and driver, settings, etc. IE: ASIO, Core Audio.....

Do you mean "Acoustica expanded instruments"?

As a test, I would suggest trying some different settings to see if the problem persists. For example, 48k 24bit.

I've experienced that is well, normally it I adjust the pitch wheel bend or the modulation wheel. I mentioned a few year back on 8. Its happened so far only once on 9. And it was with another virtual instrument, I can't remember which but im pretty sure it was a guitar one.. Good luck and let us know if you get it all sorted out.

Hi,

If it happens again, save the audio clip and send us the project. You can delete everything else in the project if you want, as long as the remaining clip still has the problem.
