Plug-in Window Resizing Gone?

Post by Tamaneko » Tue Mar 03, 2020 5:46 pm

Hello! I upgraded to 9 Pro Studio and it seems like I can no longer re-size my plug-in windows like in 8. Is this function removed in 9?

Hi,

You can only resize plugins in Mixcraft 8 if they have an option to do that in the plugin. What plugins are you talking about?

Thanks for the response!

I use the VST3 version of Melodyne 4 Studio which had a resizable window in Mixcraft 8. In Mixcraft 9 it opens up with a much smaller area for me to work with:

Hi,

You're using it as an effect on a track?

Or do you have Mixcraft 9 Pro Studio, and you're using it on the Sound tab? Do you have version 9.0 build 452?

I'm using it as an effect on the track, not from the sound tab. And yes, I have 9.0 build 452

Hi,

How were you resizing it in Mixcraft 8? It seems to work the same way that it does in Mixcraft 9.

Thanks for the continuous response!

I was able to adjust the window size via "Windows key + Left/Right arrow" in Mixcraft 8.

For Mixcraft 9, it used to be a larger window size for some time (I know this might not be helpful as it's relative to the monitor size, but it open to roughly 1/3 of my total screen). And then one time I instantiated it (with the auto-open checked in options), it opened to a smaller size (shrunk to
1/4 of my total screen) and stayed in this smaller size every time I turned the fx on afterward.

Hi,

They are identical on my computer, and using Windows Key + left or right arrow doesn't seem to do anything.

Do you still have Mixcraft 8 installed? Check it out. You can have both Mixcraft 8 and Mixcraft 9 installed at the same time.

Did you have Mixcraft 8 set to scale up in Windows display settings maybe?

Double checked and mixcraft 8 is uninstalled on the computer.

I did a re-install of Mixcraft 9 and the window is now back to a larger size. I overlaid the previous image that I attached to a new snippet that I just took:

It's more use-able now so I'm okay with closing this issue.
