While mixcraft 7 is open, I can't play any Utube videos. I have an Intel 4ghz processor in a gaming computer. Has anyone had this problem and how did you get around it.

Hi,
What settings are you using in Mixcraft's Sound Device preferences. What you're describing will happen if you're using WaveRT with Exclusive Mode turned on.
If that's not the problem, you may be using a different sample rate in Mixcraft than you are in your Windows Sound Control Panel.

RT is off. The youtube video just buffers endlessly and sometimes comes up with an error. I don't know how to check bit rates for MC and Windows yet. YTube plays fine when I close Mixcraft down.

If you're not using WaveRT, what are you using?
Go into Mixcraft's Sound Device preferences. What sample rate are you using there?
What version of Windows do you have?

Got it. I was in waveRT but I didn't have the RT box checked. I switched it to wave and now it works.

Wave is not the best way to go. It would be better to use WaveRT (or ASIO if that's available) and make sure your sample rate matches the one you use in Windows.
Basically, you go into your Windows sound settings to find the sample rate Windows is using, and I can give you exact instructions if you let me know which version of Windows you're using.

1. Right-click on the small volume control icon in your Windows task bar and select Open Sound Settings.
2. Click on the Sound Control Panel option in the upper right section of that screen.
3. Right-click on Speakers, (or whatever you use to play your YouTube videos) and select Properties.
4. On the Advanced tab, you can see what sample rate you're using for YouTube.
5. Make sure that sample rate matches the one you're using in Mixcraft's Sound Device preferences. 44100 Hz or 48000 Hz are common choices.
