Selecting all to the end from a certain position

Post by MonsterVic »

Hi All !

It might be a stupid question, or I just couldn't find an easy method for this in any of the tutorials or manuals, but here we go.

I'm using MIxcraft 8 Pro to record my own music, but recently we started a podcast and I'm the one who is doing the Post Editing.
We have 4 tracks of recorded audio, sometimes it is almost 2 hours. After I'm done with the editing the 2 hours x 4 tracks contains few hundreds of cuts, edits, clips are in many pieces....etc

Then I used to send out the mixdown to the others to listen through before we publish it. And sometimes they spot a mistake what I should fix.
And here comes the hassle.
Let's say we have 2 hours x 4 tracks edited stuff with hundreds of cuts and I have to modify something at 8 minutes. Then I zoom in to 8 minutes and let's say I should move everything, all 4 tracks all hundreds of the cuts to the right by 2 seconds. So I zoom in make a marker to have at least some help, then I have two choices either I select all to the right and scroll on the same zoom level which will take ages to reach the two hours end. Or if I zoom out to be able to easily select all what is behind the 8 minutes then I have a too much zoomed out to precisely edit and if I zoom in then typically it is zooming to the end not to where my position marker was so I zoom in and scrool to left ages, not enogh zoom in again, it is again jumping to the end and need to scrool back 1 hour 52 minutes to the left Zoomed in....etc. Pretty annyoying for me to be honest.

Just to cut the long story short, is there any trick to let's say that here is my position and Select everything to the right from this position without moving out from the position and the given zoom level. Like when in Excel you press SHIFT + END in a row and then it selects everything to the right from the cell you were.

Any ideas are appreciated. Thx.

Depends what you want to do at '8 minutes'
If you want to remove or insert something, zoom in make a selection in the timeline , right click and select either insert or remove time.. To just move everything to the right, left click and drag over all 4 clips to select them all, then control T to split them. You can then left click and drag over the right hand clips, selecting them all; then just move them out of the way.
