missing files not located after copying files to folder

Post by bq7 »

I am trying to move my sound files in Mixcraft 6 to a new folder since I want to erase the sound files from the current folder that they are in. However, after copying the sound files to a new location, the MX6 projects continue to look for the sound files in their original location. I had assumed that once I had copied the files to a new location, the MX6 project files would know to look for the sound files in that new location, but that does not seem to be the case. How do I get the MX files to actually look for the sound files in the folder that I have copied the files to?

Open the files from their new location.

Hi,

What he said, also:

If you use the "Copy Project Files to..." option, it should ask you if you want to make the new location the project folder. Did you use that method to copy the files?

Finally, you can set the new project folder on the project tab.

You can also put the project file in the new location (if it isn't there already) and double-click it.
