Master Fader Stopping at 0 with Midi Controller
Hey all,
Came across an odd one. On my master fader which I have set to be controlled by a fader on my Korg Nanokontrol, if I use the fader it (MC fader) stops just above zero and won't go any further unless I use my mouse to increase it but the physical fader will continue to go up for that last bit. All the other faders behave normally, they all go from infinity to the top and are set the same 0-127, checked Korg editor. I never usually touch the master fader but checked this time to find this. Also noticed that when I click midi learn icon in toolbar the master track doesn't light up. Anyone else experience similar?

Hmm no... I just tested my Master fader using my Akai MPK249 and it works perfect. Also when I click the midi learn icon in toolbar my master track lights up blue like it should.
Maybe try a different fader on your external controller?

Even if I go to the mix drop down and select control surface, it shows everything as normal but if I hit midi learn there the master track doesn't light up either. Thanks for not asking about current build!

Re: Master Fader Stopping at 0 with Midi Controller
Giving this a bump in hopes I'll get some input before long weekend...... Like time matters anymore.
Haven't submitted a ticket, think I should? Or is it just one of the quirks of my system, like not being able upgrade through help menu that I'll have to deal with. Not a big deal at all like I said earlier, more of a hmmmmm that's odd. I've checked other midi controllers and the master fader behaves the same, the bigger one is why when I press midi learn the master track doesn't light up.

Well that shouldn’t happen, so if Greg doesn’t reply here to this thread before this weekend I personally would summit/file a report. And after the problem is solved please let everyone what happened here in this thread. Thank you.

I'm actually holding out hope that they've been able to recreate the issue and are dutifully and efficiently looking for a fix! Don't put it past 'em, they're good.

Hi,
I actually have one of those in the office, but I'm working from home right now. Do you have "Mackie Control" selected in control surface preferences? Double-check that.
I suppose you could also try resetting your MIDI control: Mix menu > MIDI Control Surfaces > Reset All.

Re: Master Fader Stopping at 0 with Midi Controller
I'll give that a shot this evening and let you all know. What about the master track not lighting up when I press midi learn, it doesn't light up if the controller isn't plugged in either, so it's not that and I can change the commands in mix drop down control surface area.

Was the problem with the Master fader not lighting up when selecting mini learn solved?

Hi,
When I click MIDI Learn, I see the fader on the master track, the one on the main transport, and the one on the mixer light up. What is not lighting up, exactly?
I even tried undocking the transport, and it still worked.

Hi,
Did you customize the visual theme? Maybe you just need to install again?

Didn't customize anything less the midi control programming a long time ago. Did a reinstall, reboot and run as admin, still same. Like I said, it's really a minor thing and it's probably something small or some other quirk on my system.

Hi,
And it still works, right? It's just a visual thing?
