time or beats

Post by hpharley90 » Tue May 19, 2020 1:57 pm

Hi I'm using mixcraft 8 pro studio 64 bit. At the top of time line I can set to time or beats. I started a new project and brought in a sound file that is 4 minutes 3 seconds long. In time mode it shows exactly that. But when I switch to beats it shows 146 beats. What does that mean? The sound file I put in is 124 bpm.
