Clipping on the Master Fader

Post by DanTheSongwriter »

I'm using Mixcraft 6 and I'm trying to keep the Master Fader close to 0 (the default).

Once I have a good mix (I have 15 tracks) is there a way to pull down the volume on all the tracks together, at the same time?

Thanks so much.

I can't remember if this feature was in Mixcraft 6...
But you can select the first track, hold down 'shift' then select the last track - all will then be selected and you can lower any one of the volume sliders - all will move. Alternatively, select all as above, right click on any one and select 'Link tracks'
Hope this works for you 8)

I am also not certain, but dont think MX6 had that capability.

You could put a gain plug-in at the first slot on the master bus though.

Still, have to suggest an update. V6 is really pretty old. Ann aweful lot of improvements since then.
Stay in tune, Mark

Hi,

I think the option to do that came along in Mixcraft 7.

Owners of older versions of Mixcraft can upgrade to Mixcraft 9 for cheap.

It doesn't look possible in MX6.

I only dabble with it but still, it looks like it's time to kick down that $40 for an upgrade.

Thanks for the feedback.
