It seems that the Melodyne Essential 5 doesn't allow you to actually change the scales when editing audio. I've tried changing the scales around and the editor is slower and doesn't respond. At first I thought my music theory was just off and it was picking a relative or en-harmonic scale, but nope. It's just wrong or it won't react to scale change selections.
Not a huge deal as there doesn't seem that much new in V5 other than better sibilant detection which I can work around and the built-in compressor/gain tool.
I don't think this is a MX9 pro issue. Maybe Celemony is trying to make a bigger distance between it's 4 different versions.
Melodyne 5 heads-up
