Unable to record

A little more detail/clarification from a previous post...
Running Mixcraft 7 with input from a VST (Hauptwerk) that in turn receives input from 3 midi keyboards (2 keyboards and a pedalboard; this is an organ setup). This all works fine playing in real time, adding reverb via Mixcraft. The problem is that I can't record tracks. Each keyboard either alone or combined lights up the meters, so the signal is obviously reaching Mixcraft, but when I arm a track and try to record, no signal is captured. So, where is the signal getting lost, and how do I get this to work? Thanks for any help...
