Issue with Pulsar Smasher

Does anyone use the Pulsar Smasher compressor? I got it while it was free a while ago, but both the VST2 and VST3 versions produce a loud droning sound when rendering, and after rendering the left master channel will be maxed out with a low frequency sound. It only does this when rendering, behaves completely normal when editing/mixing a project.
