1. What is overdub? (located in the record window)
2. Why does it take up so much memory to record? (to get a good quality sound my 4 min song takes up around 50 - 100MB on Mixcraft in WAV format!!!!! on other programs i tried, it used only around 7 - 10MB for the same sounding quality in MP3!!)
3. Is it possible to record a second track whilst listening to the first? (i need to be able to listen to track 1 {music track} if im to sing on track 2!)
Any help will be greatly admired thanx

Hi,
The answer to question number three is question number one. Overdub allows you to record over an existing recording.
Wave files are uncompressed and they give you the highest audio quality. Once you make your recording, you can mix down to MP3 and the file size will be roughly ten times smaller, but you'll also lose some sound quality.
In Mixcraft, click on the File menu and select "Mix Down to..." to compress your recording into MP3, WMA or OGG format.

There's nothing to vote on.
Clicking on the help menu would have quickly answered the overdub question.
Not sure what you mean by too much memory.
You mean file size?
A wav file size is what it is and is the same size on all computers,
MP3 's are compressed wav files so they are smaller.
