VST's keep crashing upon loading project.

Post by cohenhouse »

I am currently using the latest version of Mixcraft 9 Pro Studio. Every time I open a project I get the message "A failure has been detected in the effect 'vst name.' This plugin has been muted." 6-10 times as several of my effects deactivate themselves. This also happens seemingly randomly as I record and edit tracks. I use about 15 tracks total and 8 instances of the FX sugar, nectar/neutron, and TB reverb. I'm fairly certain my computer is strong enough to handle much more than I'm currently using, and I've tried using less FX as well as different ones but nothing seems to make a difference. This started about a month ago shortly after upgrading to Mixcraft 9. Any help would be greatly appreciated on what's going on.

I just opened this project that I worked on all day yesterday without issue, and got this at startup.

Hi,

Sometimes one flaky plugin can cause other plugins to crash, by generating bad data. Did you add any new plugins around the time this started happening?

Get it to happen one more time, then quit Mixcraft and send us your Mixcraft-log.txt file.

To find the mixcraft-log file, highlight the following line and press Ctrl+C to copy it:

Code: Select all

%appdata%\Acoustica\Mixcraft\
Press the Windows Key+R to pop up the Run box in Windows. Click in the Run box and press Ctrl+V to paste in the line from above. Finally, click OK to go to the location of the mixcraft-log.txt file. Submit an Acoustica Support Request and attach the log file along with a brief description of the problem.
