Mixcraft Pro 9 Crashes

Post by warhenk@yahoo.com »

Anyone seeing MC9 crashes after the last Windows update (W10 Home, 1909, 18363.1139)? So frustrating. Things have been working like a charm since I dealt with all of my new Dell's issues (removing bloatware, optimizing DAW performance and minimizing impactful programs and services). Today, the program just crashes during playback. It's intermittent and at different points on the timeline. There is apparently, no longer an option to roll back to a previous build. Thanks. I will wait on the 'Feature Update version 2004' until they get the bugs out.
Best, Warren

Hi,

I've been running 1909 for quite a while now.

If the problem happens again, even after shutting down your computer and restarting it, quit Mixcraft and send us your mixcraft-log.txt file.

To find the mixcraft-log file, highlight the following line and press Ctrl+C to copy it:

Code: Select all

%appdata%\Acoustica\Mixcraft\
Press the Windows Key+R to pop up the Run box in Windows. Click in the Run box and press Ctrl+V to paste in the line from above. Finally, click OK to go to the location of the mixcraft-log.txt file. Submit an Acoustica Support Request and attach the log file along with a brief description of the problem.

Greg, Thanks, I just sent the log file via the support request. Happened again today after working well yesterday. Thanks!

I don't want to say more than I should (?), but did want to publicly thank Greg and Acoustica very much for solving my crash issue! :D

Good news that you found a solution!

Generally, things like this have been openly discussed here, in hopes that if someone else is having a similar problem, they might too find the solution.
If you werent specifically asked to keep it to yourself, (unlikely in my experience) you can likely assume its fine to discuss.

Thanks Mark. Alrighty then. :>) Greg put me on Build 466 as a bug had been discovered in the current release regarding copy/pastes of audio stem sections bearing an incident of Melodyne. The upgrade straightened it out completely.

Yep. I can confirm there are several Melodyne related issues addressed in upcoming updates.
